Video - Somarium End Game Signal Post

[The video feed picks up on a white room, where Kazuya's face is seen close to the camera. From behind, there appears to be some damage to the floor, cracks and rumble, as if a large machine were ripped up from a foundation or base anchored to the floor. Kazuya's bluish-gray eyes stare harshly back at the camera. He doesn't anger easily, but when he does get angry, he demands full attention...]

Somarium, this is Kazuya Shibuya of SPR. Upon the sudden decay of the city, we secured the dream gate recovered by Tony Stark. The gate was undergoing study and repair by our research team and Agents Ryan and Tom, who had made progress in connecting to other worlds in hopes of sending us to our home worlds. This secure location was infiltrated last night by Nocturne, who had approached myself and several other individuals about joining their organization in order to exploit our skills and knowledge to further their goals. They have taken the gate. It is believed they intend to use it to send nightmare creatures into others worlds to expand their resources and spread the reign of fear. You have witnessed what Nocturne is capable of here in this city, this planet. I ask you to imagine the damage they could cause in your own world. To show you the severity of this situation, I encourage you to watch this video in its entirely. Do with this knowledge what you will.

[Setting the camera down on its side, the viewers can see Kazuya is kneeling next to the remains of the base of the gate. Reaching his hands forward, he places them flatly against the metal. He closes his eyes, preparing himself for the vision he is about to share. The screen begins to warp as dream energy flows into the dreamberry. The image changes as a dream begins. It would appear that Kazuya is forcing a dream onto the network for once...]

[A hazy image of Kazuya's office is seen with the double-crossing Agent Wesley sitting in the director's chair with his feet on the desk, looking through papers. The screen flickers, as time does not flow consistently in visions. For a moment, Wesley is seem reading; then suddenly, he is leaning forward speaking, only to be back to lounging again. Words can be heard in echoes, both far away and near it sounds...]

Do you ever wonder what will happen to it after everyone's gone...? If everyone were to leave, it would actually probably be better for this world. After all, it existed and thrived long before people ever set foot on it... What reasons could you think of that would spark a migration of sorts...? You might want to consider why people came to this world to begin with. As in, why did they leave theirs to live here...? Consider why these dream gates were closed to begin with. As I said before, travel between worlds used to be common place and the world is not overpopulated. So why close them? Must be a good reason, right...?

[Suddenly, the scene dissolves like a reaction of water and oil into another hazy scene. This has Naomi standing with a grim look on her face. It does not seem as if she is in any kind of room really. Maybe a dream?]

Their labs are large and funded well. Their staff professional. Their facilities are more factories than they are labs, in truth... It's not just this world that is in danger... A number of us have been dealing with dream energy before this whole fiasco started. We knew that Nocturne was allocating nightmare energy-- the highest form of dream energy that exists. We also know that dream gates take a lot of energy to power in the first place. To me in particular, Wesley said that he needed us. Or rather-- he needed our specific "alien" dream energy... We also knew that they've always taken a great interest in us from other worlds. Even some of the dream energy used in those injections mimics the signature wavelength of the dream energy produced by those from other worlds...

Not only can our dream energy perhaps pinpoint the location of our worlds with its signature, it will allow access of another individual to enter another. It is known that each non-native has a distinct dream energy wavelength, and this corresponds to their worlds. Not only that, but it resonates there. I had hypothesized before that if someone does not emit that wavelength of dream energy from a different world, they cannot enter that world. Their wavelength must either be that of that world or mimic it in order to allow access. In contrast, how everyone is able to enter Hypnosia is because this world has a base wavelength of dream energy, a lowest common denominator if you will, that allows access of individuals from any given world. Hypnosia also has less natural dream energy available, so there is a natural flow from other worlds to here. Going against this gradient-- meaning returning to our respective worlds-- would take a lot more energy... his suggests that they may see if they can inject others with a dream energy that mimics that of another worlds in order to allow the gate-specificity to be overwritten, thus allowing access to another world... But-- that's just the half of it. For those of us working with Nocturne... they plan to kill us... It's very like all of us non-natives here are being watched. Perhaps from the beginning. It wouldn't be difficult to, either, given our dream energy signature is so unique...

[Again the scene dissolves to a dimmer version of the room Kazuya had been in just before this dream began. The room is faintly lit around the massive dream gate, seen resting on a platform where wires run to other computers. Suddenly, several noctaera appear around the gate. After them, a few humans appear, looking up at the gate. One of them is Wesley, who seems very pleased to see its condition. Words are spoken, but they are so muddled that they sound more like grunge growls and grunts than speech. The creatures grasp the gate at specific places, ripping it up out of the base. Sparks fly and lights flash as the gate is lifted up. Once the separation is complete, the group vanishes as quickly as they appeared...]

[The dream dissolves as it had the other times, but this time, it fades into reality. The debris, furniture, and remaining equipment are now floating in the air around Kazuya as he stares at the ceiling with gleaming white eyes. It seems the residual energy from the gate is affecting him. He doesn't move, transfixed it seems inside of his poltergeist. Even the video is floating about, giving a better view of just what is happening here. Faintly, there is a pulse in the background, the echoes of the dream gate that once rested there...]
